Fred has made an announcement by appointing South Korean singer and songwriter Kim Seok-Jin, popularly known as Seok-Jin from BTS, as its opening global ambassador.
The Jewler’s vice president and artistic director, Valérie Samuel, praised Jin for his radiant energy, artistic qualities, and shared values with the Maison.
Valérie Samuel expressed that “his unwavering optimism and zest for life align perfectly with the ethos of their brand and founder, Fred Samuel.”
Jin, in turn, expressed his glory and gratitude for joining the Fred family; he said he looked forward to their future collaborations and the exciting projects that their partnership would bring.
He then added that he has secured his first solo luxury deal with Fred, a renowned Jew.
BTS had earlier been ambassadors for Louis Vuitton (LV) under the direction of the late Virgil Abloh in 2021.
Recent reports from South Korean media suggest Jin is set to be standard bearer at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
As the eldest member of the boy band group BTS, he was the first to complete his service in the military.
His love for his fans couldn’t stop him from arranging a meetup with his fan, known as the BTS Army, through events like the “Huggathon” (where he gives hugs to fans as a festa gift) and celebrating the group’s 11th anniversary.
